Spain itinerary/route

I 'll have about 7-8 days when i leave Morocco (Tangier) to get to Madrid where i depart for US. When I look at Steve's Spain itinerary, there is a Western route through Tarifa, Arcos, Sevilletoledo Madrid; and an Eastern loop through Gibraltar, Nerja, Granda, Madrid. With only 7 days, which route should I prioritize?
