I can only reply to the last entries
I know of no direct train from Sevilla to Toledo. The route I know is 2 1/2 hours from Sevilla to Madrid on the AVE highspeed. Then the 1/2 hour from Madrid to Toledo on another AVE high speed train. You do use the same station (Atocha) which is good. I would spend the last two nights in Madrid - there is more than enough to enterain you and you will not be traveling, traveling, traveling...

Actually, they are spending the last two nights in Madrid. The two nights in Toledo are before that. We did the same thing (coming from Barcelona, not Sevilla) and were so glad we didwe loved Toledo. It is a short hop from Madrid via train from the Atoch station, in the same area where the train from Sevilla will drop you. With the last two nights in Madrid, and having already been to Toledo, you don't need any side trips, just enjoy Madrid. I suggest you purchase all your train tickets in advance on Renfe to get the web discount (60% off) which applies to the AVE trains. Unless, that is, you are seniors over 60 and prefer to settle for the Tarjeta Dorada discounts of 25% to 40%.

Having traveled to Spain in 2009 I think 1 night in Ronda and 1 night in Toledo would be enough.

Why don't you take the AVE to Cordoba, spend 2 nights. Train to Sevilla - spend your 3 nights there. Rent a car in Sevilla and drive around the White towns; it's very easy to drive. When you are done with the White Towns of Andalucia, return to Sevilla, return your car and take the AVE back to Madrid (2 hours); in Madrid take the AVE to Toledo - it takes 45 minutes. You can also drive from Sevilla to Toledo, the drive is long and kind of tedious. When we were in Toledo in 2011, I learned trains to Madrid and back run all the time. Also, although I have stayed in Toledo and driven in that city, I recommend to go by train because parking is a mess, it's easy to get lost without a GPS. In Toledo stay in the Hotel Santa Isabel - beautiful hotel, great location and great prices. Sevilla - Hotel Mestranza; Granada - Hotel Macias; Cordoba Hotel Los Patios (right by the Mosque/Cathedral) Good luck! Spain is magical and it has great highways. If you have a GPS, buy a European chip that includes Spain and it will be the best investment ever.

The thing I don't like is: 1 night in Madrid lots of other travel 2 nights in Madrid More efficient to have all your Madrid time consolidated into a single block. So I'd suggest either (1) starting your trip in Toledo and saving your Madrid visit for the very end, or (2) three days in Madrid to begin with and plan to spend your last days and nights in Toldedo (Madrid airport not that far). You might also see about flying home from Sevilla, which would make other permutations possible. I add from personal experience that Toledo is a wonderful place to walk about and de-jetlag before tackling the rest of Spain.

Taking the bus from Seville to Ronda is better. Mary

If Mary meant a bus from Cordoba to Ronda, that's what I was thinking. Check it out. I'm guessing the bus will be faster and cheaper. Typically bus travel doesn't require advance reservations, buy your ticket the night before at the station. Think about Cadiz as part of your Arco/Jerez sidetrip. Cadiz is reportedly the oldest city in Europe (I think goes back to Phoenicians around 1100 BC). My Father in Law came back from Spain last year and considered it the highlight of their trip - so we're planning to visit on our trip in April. If you're trying to find time, one night in Ronda and Cordoba is probably plenty, two nights in Granada gives you one full day to see the Alhambra.
