Any better suggestions??
Why do you think you might be bored on the Loire? For what kind of "countryside relaxation" do you yearn? Viewing Renaissance chateaux and formal gardens is very different from touring the countryside. Many options for the latter. I'd suggest continuing by train to Burgundy, renting a car for your two days, touring about, then returning to Paris. Beaune makes a good base, or pick up a car in Montbard and Auxerre and see the Serien valley, Vezeley, and some of the towns near the canal.
Actually, the Loire area is wonderful countryside. Chinon is wonderful. If you want chateau, the Loire is great. For countryside meandering, the Loire is good, but the Dordogne area is worth considering.
