We are thinking about spending some time in the fall in Andalucia, Spain. When we started at independent travel as we have always done, we were surprised to see that a cruise would be cheaper. Have any of you taken a cruise that included southern Spain? Which cruise line did you use and did you feel that you were able to see what you wanted to see? Thanks for any help.
IMO The biggest problem with a cruise in southern Spain is that MOST of the cities & towns that we want to visit are inland. We're not big fans of the Costa del Sol but many people are. What ports are stopovers on the cruises that you're interested in?
Not a fan of cruises. Too much time already planned for you and not enough time to do the things you want to do. Just my opinion.
you can't do andalucia with a cruise line - it's too far from any port you can dock.
The cruise that we are looking at begins and ends in Barcelona. It makes stops between Spain and Northern Africa as well as the Canary Islands. We would also like to go to Toledo. Is that doable or would it be better to do that on our own?
