We stayed in the Hotel Puerta de Las Granadas when we planned to visit the Alhambra. This was certainly the highlight of our trip. The hotel was rated in Rick's guide and even provided a discount. However, the rating really deserves upgraded. Never have we been treated so well be the staff at a hotel. They went way out of their way for us. We we checked in they upgraded our room since we were staying 3 nights. We had a view of the Alhambra. The staff provided excellent recommendations on restaurants. Arrangements were made for visiting the Alhambra and an olive oil tour. If you have time the olive oil tour was worth doing. The small hotel was modern and had everything you could want, including an elevator which was appreciated when dealing with luggage. The breakfast room was nice and provided teas and cofees anytime. They have a private patio area to relax. Even computers were available. When in Granda I recommend the Hotel puerta de Las Grandas.
