We are considering taking the train from Barcelona through Valencia to Granada and working our way back to Madrid. We arrive 9/9 in BCN and return SFO from Madrid 9/23.

Do you have RS Spain/Portugal Guide book yet? If yes, good. If not, I would suggest you get it and read the section on Spain as it has lots of good information for you that we used when traveling thru Spain.
