Spain-11 nights, where should i add my extra day?

Hi there,
i am busy planning my 3 month trip around europe.
so so exciting now, i just booked my flight today with easyjet from paris to madrid, i have 11 nights in spain
before heading to morocco for a 2 week tour , after that i will fly to barcelona where i will spend 4 nights, so 11 nights does NOT include barcelona. here is my itinerary.

14 May 2008-Arrive in Madrid 7pm-sleep Madrid
15 May -madrid
16 may-madrid
17 may-will prob do day trip somewhere near madrid(read below)
18 may -toledo
19 may-cordoba
20 may granada
21 may-granada
22 may-ronda
23 may-seville
24 may-seville
25 may-train back to madrid for 2pm flight to casablanca
as i want to start booking my accomodation really soon i want to be sure of my itinerary.
my question is, should i forget the day may 17 in madrid and add the extra day somewhere else? ie ronda..
what do u think leave that day in madrid to day trip somewhere close (segovia-avila)or add that day elsewhere?
and where?
thanks for your responses!! Vikkie:)

Ronda's pretty small...if you're there a day and a night, you'll see it all. Madrid has lots of stuff to see and do....two days is great for a first visit. For your Madrid region daytrip, I would suggest Segovia, the second most popular destination in Spain (after the Alhambra in Granada). I would also suggest you book tickets to the Alhambra ASAP....there are limited numbers available, and they go quickly.

vikkie,
stay another day in toledo or do the el escorial and segovia day trips from madrid. you could do a bus or a train trip from granada to ronda or jerez de la frontera then onto sevilla or vice versa. hope this helps. www.movelia.es is the scheduling/purchasing website for spanish buses, which my wife and I found to be excellent choices for travel in Spain last christmas.

If you're in Seville, why not go by bus down to the coast and get the ferry across to Morocco?

I spent a month in southern spain. I visited Ronda, Arcos, Jerez, Tariffa, Nerja, Granada, and Seville. I loved Nerja the best. Ronda and Arcos are small and can be seen in a day or I would suggest skipping for more days in a larger city. Nerja is on the beach and very relaxing. I heard great things about Cadiz but didn't go there.
