Spain 10 Days, need critique on itinerary.

I am going to Spain Apr 16th-25th. Below is my tentitive plans, not able to change flights or dates. 16th - Arrive in Barcelona at 4pm, Night train to Granada leaving at 10pm 17th Granada 18th Granada, late am/lunchtime train to Ronda 19th Ronda 20th Ronda, afternoon train back to Granada then Night train to Figueres via Barcelona 21 Figueres/Cadaques 22 Cadaques 23 Barcelona 24 Barcelona
25 Barcelona, pm flight home Is this too action packed? I know its a lot of travelling, but we were sort of set on seeing Granada and Ronda and figuered that Night trains is the best way to travel for money and time, and I really think sleeping on trains is cool. We like smaller towns more than large cities. Would like to see Gaudi sights and Dali muesem but not that much into other muesems.

It is not a schedule I would do but you appear to be locked into so not sure why the question was asked. For future planning an open jaw ticket would have make more sense. Are you going to Granada to see the Alhambra? Do have you a reservation? Assume that is all you are seeing in Granada. I find it interesting that you are set on seeing Granada and Ronda and yet are only allowing less 24 hours in each location unless your interest is just to check these town off the travel list. Have you checked training schedules between Granada and Ronda? I think the majority of your time for this leg is going to be spent in train stations, trains, finding and checking in and out of hotels.

You will be exhausted I fear....I would cut out some of the stops and enjoy what you see where you are.

I assume you've taken night trains before. So if you enjoy them then your schedule is very tight but fine. Your time in Grenada is tight given your morning arrival and needing to see the Alhambra that afternoon (must ahve reservation). While Grenada is not worth more than 2 days in my opinion (one spent at Alhambra), you leave little time to explore the town. The bus from Grenada-Ronda may be more frequent and certainly less expensive. Flights to/from Barcelona/Grenada might be cheaper and certainly less hassle.

I'd shift Barcelona to the start of the trip, get over jet lag and settle into things before tackling that night train. That assumes you leave early enough from Cadaques on the 25th to make your flight.

Thanks, Adam. I though about shifting the focus to Barcelona at the begining but then I was too nervous about getting back for my return flight. I have made some changes and am good with them. Thanks for your advice.
