I have ten days to travel by bus and train (modest budget traveler) starting in Bordeaux, France and ending in Milan, Italy, My dates are August 1-25th. My interests are: history, food, cafe life, avoiding crowds and tourist buses. Can someone give me a list of TEN must-visit and TEN must-avoid places on my route? (My first 15 days are in Portugal and Spain, my math is bad...but not that bad!)
