I would like to be in the center of Barcelona in a small quaint and lovely hotel. Any suggestions?

We stayed at Hostal Campi. I thought it was a good choice - clean, reasonably priced, nice staff and well located. Quaint and lovely? Maybe not. About half their rooms are ensuite and half aren't. If that's important to you, be sure to watch which type of room you are reserving.

We stayed in Hotel Neri. Exquisite. Not cheap but so glad we opted for it. In the heart of Barri Gothic.

Consider the Hotel Granvia. It is a medium sized hotel about a five minute walk from the Placa Catalunya. Great public areas. Many of the rooms have a private balcony overlooking an interior courtyard. Rooms average about 100 euros.
