slower -paced seaside, beach town on Cote d'Azur?

Looking for ideas of more quaint, less crowded beach towns on the Cote d'Azur. Considering Collioure or Cassis or St. Maxime but don't know anything about them really. Feedback or other suggestions?

I've been to Collioure and Cassis. I thought Collioure was OK but loved Cassis. Just a pretty port town with nice cafes, people watching, good food and wine. You can explore the calanques or do a day trip to Aix en Provence.

the train stops by many little places undocumneted. you can stay in antibes and then just get a train map. i found a few can't remember names just by randomly hop on/off the train. menton is the last major town before you enter italy, it's a good choice also.

Of the three you suggested, I've only been to Cassis, and reallly loved it. Nice little beach, great market on Friday, nice restuaruants along the harbor full of boats. The calanques (like fjords) are beautiful. We hiked to a couple and swam in one them, but you can also take a boat ride out to them from several companies in the harbor.
