I am wanting to get a room in Hallbermoos, a small town near the airport. Has anyone stayed the Theresienhof? Or anywhere near that area?

Thanks for the info. I have also stayed in Freiling and will check into hotelzurgred.I enjoy the gasthaus atmosphere.

We stayed in Freising, another small town near the airport (15 min by car or bus). There is a dedicated airport shuttlebus from the Freising Train station to the airport that runs every 15 minutes. I think it was about 2 euros per person. We took the easy way on our last day, a cab which costs about 25 euros.
We stayed at the Hotel zur Gred, which has decent food and nice rooms, but not an elevator if that is important. It has the Gasthaus flavor that is becoming less common in Germany. The zur Gred is about 10 min from the train station on Bahnhof Strasse.

Hi Lisa,
Another very good option is the Park Hotel (Best Western) in Erding, Germany. It's about 15 minutes to the Munich airport. Not only is the train station is right down the street, but the charming old town pedestrian zone of Erding is less than a 5 minute walk. Very nice place to stay.
