My husband and I will be arriving into Stuttgart a little late (9pm) by train. Does anyone have any suggestions on cheap but decent hotels or zimmers in Stuttgart or very close (we are not picking are rental car until the next morning). Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Any of the hotels right at the airport are good. The Movenpick is right there, it's fine. A short distance away is the Millenium hotel at the SI Centrum which has lots of restaurants by it, but you'll need to get the shuttle there. You can take the s-bahn to the Pullman hotel in Vaihingen-Stuttgart just 10 min away. Or you can head all the way into Stuttgart on the s-bahn (20 min) and stay at any of the hotels there. Try Best Western, Holiday Inn, Novotel, Ibis, etc. for cheap, decent rooms.
