We're looking for a nice place to stay in Seville in late June and, so far, it seems like the choices are either really inexpensive and with less than favorable reviews or slightly higher than our anticipated max price. We're looking for a quad or two doubles, hoping to spend no more than $50 per person per night. Does anyone have a recommendation? Is Seville just one of those towns where your choices are either rock bottom or kinda pricey?
Remember that Seville is a major tourist attraction. We spent last New Years there is a nice hotel, Amadeus, BUT the price was about 110 E - well outside of you 70E mark. Part of the problem is your target price is on the cheap side.
I just booked the Eurostars Regina at 99Euro for a double on May 26 for a couple of days.
$200 per night would be within the range for the Patio de la Cartuja aparthotels. (http://www.patiosdesevilla.com/hotel_in/home.html) These would be my choice anyway for fairly classy accommodation. I also like the Al-Andalus palace (http://www.hoteles-silken.com/sevilla_alandalus_presentation_2/presentation.php/5/3/2/), although it is inconveniently located if one does not have a car.
Our Rick Steves tour last year stayed at Hotel Alcantara (www.hotelalcantara.net) in the Santa Cruz area. Rates are reasonable and great flamenco is next door.
I second the vote for Hotel Alcantara. We stayed there about month ago. We had a double and a triple. Good location. Good value. GREAT flamenco next door. Seville is magical.
