Sleeping in Colmar

We are trying to decide between B&B with Chez Leslie or Hotel le Rapp. My husband is a light sleeper and like to have comfortable bed. We need shower, and do not mind walking. thanks,

vicky, I stayed at Hotel Le Rapp last year and would definitely recommend it. The room was very comfortable, the staff wonderful and the breakfasts were great.
They have a small swimming pool in the basement level, but I didn't have time to use it. It's in a very convenient location for walking within the town, so easy to get to restaurants or the Unterlinden. I was able to easily walk to the station in about 15 minutes, but with luggage I'd suggest a Taxi. Happy travels!

Do you have a car? We just stayed at a great chambres d'hote in Beblenheim (on the wine route) called Le Gambrinus. The owner, Stephan Klein, speaks fluent English, his wife does not. There is a pub in the cellar which serves fantastic food, beer on tap and wine which is very popular with locals. It's only about 15-20 min. from Colmar. The town was beautifully quaint, quiet and within 5 min. of Riquewihr...one of my favorite villages. Have a great trip!

We were in Colmar last fall for five nights. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment right across from the Cathedral. I am sorry I do not have the contact number for the lady who rents it. We used several websites however. Try homelidays.com or vrbo.com and the lady's last name was Schwab. I hope this helps. The location of this apartment is just ideal for walking the old part of town. There's bakeries and food markets within walking distance. For European standards this is a really large apartment.
