I am thinking about spending two nights in the Berchtesgaden, germany area and need some suggestions on good, cute, inexpensive places to stay. Budget: about 25 euros/person. Views would be great:) Also, if you have been to both, would you spend 2 nights in Hallstatt or two nights in berchtesgaden, one of each? Thank you. I am going in 2 wks and am being very indecisive.
Hotel Wittelsbach is in the upper part of Berchtesgaden. I stayed with my mom and sister a few years ago. Our room had a great view of the vally and mountains. I could have looked out the window all day. Rooms are a bit more than you want to spend, but not by much.
Hi Kirstin,
We love the Pension Mayringerlehen in Ramsau (10 min. from Berchtesgaden). Wonderful people, nice rooms, great mt. views and good buffet breakfast. Right in you price range! We've been twice ('06 and '07) and are going back this fall.

I second the recommendation for Pension Mayringerlehen in Ramsau!! I loved staying there earlier this year. Definitely in your price range, and a very charming place overall :)
Hi again Kirstin,
I'd suggest staying in one place for the two nights. They are only 1:30 away from each other. We visited Hallstatt as an easy day trip from Ramsau (Berchtesgaden).

You guys are wonderful! Thank you so much. I have a room inquiry out to marylingerlehen as we speak. I agree with staying in one place for two nights, much more relaxing:)
