Hi. We are planning a family trip to Paris in September 2014. My 14 year old son's passion is skateboarding. He is hoping to buy a board in Paris and be able to ride it there. Kind of a dream for him to say he was able to skate in Paris! My question is, does anyone know if there are skateparks or areas in Paris where kids can skate without getting into trouble? How about skate shops? Any info or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. :)

This is far from my area of expertise, but there's what looks like a cool skateboard shop in my neighborhood near Nation. Google "Nozbone Paris" and you'll get a map showing you the location.

Lots of kids skateboard outside Beaubourg. Not sure if it is stricly "legal," but it looks like it would be hella fun to hang and board and mingle if you were 14.

Might be dull for a kid but weekly this giant hoard of people take over the streets and rollerblade. We were there a few years ago and the huge crowd was blading in the streets near the Eiffel Tower at like midnight. Looked fun.
