Sintra to Obidos, Portugal, public transportation

I will be leaving Sintra to Nazare and wanted to spend the day in Obidos. It appears to be on the way but the only transportation I can come up with is train to Lisbon, go to bus station, take bus to Caldas de R..., bus to Obidos. Any suggestions? Thanks
