Shuttle Service from Charles DeGaulle Airport to Paris

I am looking for a recommendation on a shared shuttle from CDG to downtown Paris? Thanks.

We were going ot taxi it, but did the RER ,, it was so easy, and our hotel was only a few blocks from the St Michel stop so we just walked to it once in Paris. It was only about 8-10 euros, so it is alot cheaper.
Go on your hotels web site, most of them do list the different ways to get to them, including the nearest metro stop.

I've had good experiences with both shuttles and taxis. For reference, the taxi fare is roughly 50 Euros depending on your hotel location and traffic. Shuttles charge on a per person basis - that's why it could be cheaper to take a taxi for 2 or 3. Taxis line up at stands outside of the terminals.

Using the RER and Metro is much cheaper, if you feel comfortable finding your way to your hotel on your own.

Just 2 of us. I had read that the taxi stand at CDG can be a struggle. Do you have a different experience?

Look into the Air France shuttle bus. 35 Min ride into Paris. Two routes with two stops each. I took it to the Arc where my hotel was located.

Have you considered the RER train? The station is in the airport and connects to the main Metro lines. The ride is a bit longer but entirely predictable. We rode in to Paris this summer to the strains of La Vie en Rose from an accordian player who boarded the train a couple of stops in. It made for a great piece of video.

My husband and I recently returned from our first trip to Paris. We took the RER from CDG to a few blocks from our hotel. No problem.

Another possibility ... Take the RER to Gare du Nord and then pick up a taxi there to your hotel.

I just used Golden Air shuttle, recommended by Rick. You have to book ahead of time and then call a toll free number when you land, and the van meets you. Worked out well for me.

I used a shuttle that was offered when I booked my flight and hotel through Travelocity. It was a minivan that brought us and another party quickly to our hotels for $12/person each way. It was worth it, but now that I've traveled a little more and like to do things myself, I'm going to take the RER next time -- cost aside, I feel like you get more out of public transport than a closed-in private car.

Pat,

I've done both RER from CDG & Golden Air Shuttle.

The big difference is, yes the RER & Roissy Bus are both cheaper, however odds are you'll take the Metro in conjunction with each and hauling your bags up & down all those Metro steps is really bad news.

I agree with the others Golden Air is a simple, hassle free way to go.

Pat,

I would reccommend the Yellow Van Shuttle. However, it depends what hotel you are staying at in Paris.
