Should I make Hotel reservations now in Berlin and Nurnburg?

I got a really great deal for one night in Frankfurt (first night of our stay in Germany in June) and 4 nights in Fussen (at the end of our trip). I'm wondering if I should try to make reservations for most or all of the remaining nights (3 nights in or near Berlin and 3 nights in or near Nurnberg) right away. Will I find more good deals that may disappear?

Thanks,
John

I have a little different take on this. Deals might come and go in big chain hotels, but I don't stay in big chain hotels. I usually stay in Privatzimmer or Mom & Pop Pensionen, which usually have a small number of beds, don't advertise except to be listed in the town accommodations directory, and, in my opinion, offer the best cultural experience at lower prices then chains. They are already the best prices; they don't offer deals. People who reserve ahead snatch up the best deals; if you wait, you get what's left.

For 52 nights in the past five years, reserving ahead, I've spent an average of €33/nt, including 6 nights in Munich.

Thanks for your helpful comments. Since our plans are getting pretty firm, I'm probably going to make reservations.
