Does anyone know how late the shops stay open in San Sebastian? Do they close for awhile in the afternoon?

We were in San Sebastian last Aug. My wife recalls that some but not all shops were open in the afternoon. The shops are open at least until 21:00.
Enjoy, it is a wonderful place.
