Has anyone ever done this? Did your hotel give you a hard time about it? My husband has found a book that he really wants and it's only available on Amazon's Germany website but for us to have it shipped to the US would cost a small fortune. We will be in Munich next month for 3 days and would like to order it and have it shipped to the hotel if possible. I haven't emailed them yet to ask about it but didn't know if anyone else had experience with it.

just ask the hotel...
if they don't want to deal with it perhaps you could ship it general delivery to the main post office...I did that in Santiago,Spain a few years ago and my parcel was waiting for me when I arrived...just had to show some ID to retrieve it...

I feel your pain. I ordered a DVD from Amazon Germany last month and the shipping cost the same as the DVD. I order lots of stuff off of Amazon UK and the shipping is more reasonable from the UK.
