What is the easiest way to travel from Seville to Madrid. Does renting a car and driver make sense - any recommendations? Is train the preferred travel mode?

AVE fast and easy.
I think its like 2 hours and $72
Without a doubt, the easiest (and fastest way), is the AVE high speed train service...2 1/2 hours, costing anywhere fom 65 to 72 Euro per person, depending on which train you take. Buy the tickets when you first get to Sevilla to ensure a spot. Trains every half hour in the morning rush hours...then one per hour until 10 at night. It's 500 kilometers (315 miles) between the two cities...a car would be far longer, far costlier, and far more hassle!
Just did this 2 months ago. The AVE train is the way to go. 2-1/2 hours with a few stops in between. If you can swing it, go 1st class. It was the end of our trip and we felt pampered with delicious snacks, red wine, water, headphones, hot towels passed out. Relaxing and stress free. Enjoy!
