Sevilla recommendation

We will be staying in Sevilla for 3 nights in September. We will arrive by train about 11:35 am the first day, and depart about 10 am the fourth day. So really, it's a good 3 full days and nights.

In reading my RS Spain book I came across the Paul McGrath white washed towns minibus tour (a 9am-7:30pm tour).

It looks REALLY fun and we are very tempted. But what do you guys think? Would we be missing out too much on Sevilla, or does it seem reasonable? We are mainly looking to wander the Barrio Santa Cruz, tour Alcazar, the Cathedral/Bell tower, Bullfighting museum, and see a Flamenco show. I'd appreciate any input/points of views you have to offer, thank you!

We did the Sevillia sites (Barrio Santa Cruz, Alcazar, Cathedral, Bullfighting museum) in a day, though it is probably wiser to do a day and a half, so I think adding the minibus tour in your schedule is reasonable.

We were in Sevilla last September and had a wonderful time. I agree with Victoria to allow ample time to see the sights in Sevilla. It was extremely hot even in mid-September, and we found an afternoon siesta or long sangria break to be a necessity!

Thank you so much for your reply, Victoria. We were actually leaning the other way, because we were really concerned about feeling rushed, so this feedback is really helpful. I think we'll go ahead and book! Thanks again.

We took Paul's tour to the white hill towns from Seville, great experience! He was very knowledgable about the area, with lots of info. We had a wonderful, very inexpensive, lunch in one of the towns. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain, March, 2008.

Thanks to both of you for your replies!

Barb, I was wondering if I could ask you a question. I can't infer from the itinerary that he emailed me if there is any allotted time to explore each of the towns on the tour. Can you remember about how much time you spent in each of the four towns? Was the time spent as individual time or were you always together as a group? Thank you!

We were sometimes tog. as a group but had some time to ourselves as well. I think we spent about an hour to an hour and a half at each village. He also stopped on the road several times when we wanted photos, as the area is very scenic. We bombarded Paul with all kinds of questions on Spain, as we had been there 3 weeks and didn't speak Spanish so couldn't ask a local. He never tired of answering and has lived in Spain with Spanish wife for 20+ years.
