Sensitive skin- can you find Dreft in France?

I have a family member that will be staying in France for about 3 months (specifically Clermont-Ferrand). She has sensitive skin and normally uses Dreft to wash clothing. I am sure there are sensitive skin products but does anyone know if this specific brand is sold in France? Many thanks!

@grass (BTW - do you prefer to use your first name or your last (hopper?))?

I haven't seen it in France or even the UK. I just searched the 2 big French hypermarches, Auchan and Carrefour, and the Tesco supermarket chain - biggest in the UK.

None of them stock it.

Laundry detergents are quite different in Europe from North America. Maybe you're not from North America - I guess grasshoppers may be more prevalent in the Sahara - you didn't complete your profile and are hiding behind an avatar so it is difficult to provide comparisons.

In general, disclosure of ingredients, dyes, and chemicals are stronger in Europe than in the US. I am confident that your family members will be able to find an equally or more-mild detergent in France. Just ask some mothers with strollers what they use.

Dreft is product of Procter & Gamble, which also has a big presence in Europe. They also have a product helpline, so you can just pick up the phone and ask them.

Yes, it's available in a pink bottle with a picture of a mother and baby on it. There's another gentle product we used to use to wash the baby's stuff in France and it,too, is still available. Can't remember the name. Just ask anyone in the detergent aisle of any store over there.
