Thanks to all for your posts. I have enjoyed them and benefited from them in the past weeks planning our upcoming France vacation. We are Rick fans and leaned heavil on his guides for our tour of Italy three years ago. Finally, to my query. We are staying on the Left Bank near the Sorbonne. We'd like to take a river boat tour after dark. Is is best to board near our hotel or by the Eiffel Tower? Are the tours point-to-point or round trip? We'd like to take the tour after dark but don't want to be far from the hotel at its conclusion.
Tom Check out the answers to your question in a previous discussion just a few questions before yours. This is the one you want as it leaves from the islands near the Sorbonne rather than the Eiffel Tower. You should be able to walk to its deparature point. VEDETTES de PARIS--

They're round trip.
Thank you for your assistance. Looking forward to our first visit to the City of Lights.
Not sure if this is your thing or not, but I did an evening Fat Tire Paris bike tour and at the end of a pretty relaxing ride (all flat, very casual) we boarded a river boat and cruised down the Seine. They even gave us a glass of wine! It was a blast and I met some really cool people. The bike tours meet up at the SW corner of the Eiffel Tower. It was a great way to end my trip to Paris.
