I want to go on the Seine river cruise and the illuminations tour while I am in Paris but I do not want to book ahead as I do not know what night we are going to do this on. So....when in Paris, where do we book this and is there a specific tour better than another??? Thanks

You will find locations on the river to book the boats; we did near the Eiffel Tower. I was on an evening tower and got to see the lights on the Eiffle Tower while on the river. As to which is best, there is only one river and only two directions of travel with the same sights on either side of the river, so I would guess the prices and schedules would determine which boat to take.
Also, check with your hotel. Many offer free tickets or discounts with your hotel reservations, but you have to ask.
