Seine boat trip

We thought we'd take a Seine boat trip our 1st night in Paris; any recommendations? what about the dinner cruises, is the food good or barely edible?

I've never had the food on board, so I'm guilty of responding with only half the information you seek.

But you can get a much finer meal at many restaurants and cafes before you take the cruise. Just take the standard Bateaux Mouches or the like without the dinner and just enjoy the sites. I think dinner on board would just get in the way.

We did the night cruise that George mentioned. You can book it over the internet at the link he gave and it is good for any night you choose. They will email your confirmation.
Have never taken a dinner cruise so no help with that part of your question.

We have not taken a dinner cruise, but had a very nice boat ride one evening a year ago...I believe there was a decent discount with the Museum Pass we had. There are several boats as I recall near the Eiffel Tower.

I have taken both of the cruises that Doug and George mentioned. They were both very similar as they do a long loop and come back. I haven't done dinner on a cruise, and I'm not sure I would like that. I'm too busy sightseeing and snapping photos on the cruise that I wouldn't have time to eat, lol! I like to take them around dusk so you can take some pics in the daylight and then on the return loop you can enjoy the twinkling lights everywhere.

My husband & I did a Seine "evening" cruise last year (no dinner) and loved it despite somewhat cool and rainy weather in May. You don't really need to book this ahead of time. We found out from our hotel what the sailing times were, and just got there early, purchased tickets, and got on board. "Voila" (I don't even speak French).
P.S. I live in Phoenix!!
