How busy is Schönbrunn Palace in February? I figure that the height of summer means it's thronging with tourists, but I am trying to decide whether a late afternoon (14:30 on) visit would be ideal or if we should try to visit in the morning. Any recommendations welcome. :)

We visited the palace in November a few years ago and there were no crowds. It was too cold to visit the gardens but we had lunch in the tearoom and that should not be missed.

If you go in the morning, be there at 9. That way you will beat the tourist buses that bring the throngs of tourists (even in February). After 4 in the PM should be okay. We've done both, but the early AM was the best.
