Schilthorn - Piz Gloria Breakfast Buffet

We went up there a few months ago, didn't have breakfast but saw other people eating and it looked good! Wished we were having some (but we'd already eaten before we got there). Not a huge selection, but meats, cheeses, stuff like that.

Lizzie - YES!! It's worth it - To sit there as the restaurant slowly rotates and the views are Stupendous - Can it get better. Yes , You can paraglide all the way down through the Alps and land in a Beautiful village. Incredible!!

Liz: i have been to Switzerland 9 times. BY FAR, the Schilthorn is one of the Top things you can experience. As the others have said, one goes for the views,,,,SO, weather is CRITICAL. Its a real shame to spend all that money and get to the top and its fogged/clouded in. DO check weather forecast before you go. I read many hotels now have the 24hr mountain top cameras on a tv channel. Also, no one addressed "is it worth the money". Foodwise, No. Nearly everything on the menu is HIGH-priced !!! Be prepared for that. I have not had the Bond Buffet but its not the only offering, they have lunch and dinner also. It is also ok to sit at the tables to enjoy the view and just order a beer/wine/coffee and/or, say a soup. That would be relatively inexpensive. All in all i think its Well-worth a splurge.

Thanks! Good to know that we can just get a coffee and still enjoy the views. That said, I think we will just get breakfast at our hotel, and enjoy the view from the restaurant while sipping coffee! Thanks again!

If you stay at the Hotel Alpenruh in Muerren located right at the gondola to the Schilthorn - they will give you a voucher to have breakfast at the Schilthorn. You still have to buy your gondola ticket, but the breakfast will be free.

We enjoyed yummy hot chocolate while up there marveling at the peaks. Quite a memory.
