Hello - my sister is a huge Real Madrid fan and since we will be in Madrid for a few days, we are looking into perhaps touring the stadium. It's 15 euros. Has anyone ever participated in this tour? Do you have any comments about it? Or do you know of any other activities that a Real Madrid fan could participate in in the city? Not planning to attend a game btw, just other sights or things to do. Thanks!
Hi! Yes, I took this Santiago Bernabeu self-guided tour last spring and it was worth it. There's no guide and no audio, just arrows pointing the tour's direction. You first go up HIGH to look down on the pitch. Then you go right down to the pitch's edge and sit in the cushy team's game seats. As I said, it's self-guided but took about an hour. After the exteriors, we lingered quite a bit in the trophy, photos, and video rooms. As a bonus after the tour, we had lunch at the Real Café - which had fantastic views of the field/pitch below. That was so cool and offered a reasonably price "Menú del Día" lunch set-menu for around 20 Euros. I say it was "reasonable" because the service was professional, nice table settings, food was good, and the view was spectacular! (reservations recommended) Saludos, MadridMan @ you-know-where!
Thanks Madrid Man! I actually was just given a link to you website and I can't wait to explore it. My sister is a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan and is probably more excited about the 15 minutes we'll spend in the trophy room than the 3 months we're spending in Europe :-)
Can't wait to pass on this info.
