Hi .... very excited about our upcoming Paris-at-Christmas trip. Saint Chappelle gives me the tingles and I am very much looking forward to seeing it at Christmas. Question -- we want to see Swan Lake at L'Opera Bastille sometime during our stay. It's sold out on line. We have researched on line ticket agencies reselling tickets but are a little nervous about sending them "beaucoup d'argent" and still not being able to see the ballet. Does Paris have a same-day theatre ticket kiosk like is in NY's Times Square? Any other ideas about a good way to see if there are tickets being sold or resold to Swan Lake or events at l'Opera Garnier near Galleries Lafayette? Thanks!

This isn't going to help you for a sold out performance, but for the performing arts in Europe, you can usually buy "rush tickets" before the show for a discount at the box office. But if Swan Lake is sold out, this probably won't help you. It may work for you at the Opera Garnier, though.

I don't know about the Bastille, but Garnier tickets can't be exchanged or refunded, so I got some the 'old fashion way' by hanging out on the steps on the day of the performance & some people were there selling them on their own.
