Hey everyone. I need some advice on timing and if my plan is not possible and still enjoy.
I want to leave Salzburg in the morning time, travel (by car) to Herrenchiemsee (tour) then to Burghausen (tour) and end up at the Monastery at Andachs for some beers and dinner. Staying the night close enough to walk (or crawl) after a few beers. It sounds like an awful lot to me. I have limited experience in that region and need some advice. Thanks!
Crawl is the correct phrase after a few drinks at the Andachs. Powerful brew! Unless they have changed recently the Monastery is only open during the weekends due to the high volume of alcohol. 19% I was told. Great taste. Our small group had to take a cab back down the hill to the train station to return to Munich. We were sooo feeling good that we would have fallen if we had walked. There is a bus but we missed it. You will indeed have a great time. It is a lively, friendly atmosphere.
I thought it may be a little too much for me. I think I will omit Burghausen and spend more time at Herrenchiemsee. Thanks for confirming that for me!
