My husband and I will be traveling to Austria this summer with our 2 young children, ages 6.5 and 3.5. We're staying in St Johann in Tirol, near Kitzbuhel. I've heard the salt mine tours in Salzburg are a lot of fun, but everything I can find, including this website: http://www.salzwelten.at/salz_en/ say it's for ages 4 and up. I'm wondering how strict they are about this age requirement. My daughter's big enough that she could pass for 4 if necessary, but I'd rather not make the special trip to Salzburg for this only to find out that she and I will be waiting in the parking lot while my husband and son go on the tour. Have any of you gone with young children? Do they really enforce the age limit? Thanks!
