Does anyone know of a great, not-expensive, authentic place to stay in Salzburg?
We stayed at the Pension Chiemsee on two seperate trips to Salzburg and loved it each time. It is a very old building with tons of character and the breakfast is fantastic. Also within walking distance of everything. I would stay here again! Here is one website for it, though not in English. There is an English one too I think, but I cant remember what it is...http://hotel-chiemsee.members.cablelink.at/
Hotel Weisse Taube in the Old Town area. RS recommended, great breakfast, good location, we enjoyed and would stay there again.
I've stayed at Institute San Sebastian and liked it. I've stayed there as a single and with a family of five. It's a college dorm, but very clean and quiet. If you wouldn't like a dorm, this wouldn't be the place for you.
MK, I stayed at * www.hotel-goldenekrone.com/ * on my last visit, and would certainly recommend it (cut & paste the link inside the asterisks). Unfortunately, they seem to have revised their website and I can only find the German portion. Cheers!
