I have read that Hallstatt is virtually closed down during the winter. I was wondering specifically about the Hallstatt Salt Mine Tour. Does anyone know if it is open in late December? My wife, kids and I will be in Salzburg in late December and would like to do the Salt Mine Tour. Any advise?
Also, does Slazburg offer sleigh rides in winter, specifically right around Christmas time?

It appears that the salt mine is only open until the end of October.

Sleigh rides in Salzburg will be dependent on weather, which is not reliable for snow in December. You may have to move up to higher ground for sleigh rides or snow.
I suppose they also have sleigh rides on wheels, like a hayride . . .
