Hotel Doktorwirt is a nice place for families. It's a few minutes outside of town, but is on the busline.

Haus Ballwein; www.haus-ballwein.at/en_our-house.htm We stayed as a family of 5 in 2010. It's about two miles from the center, but right on a bus route into town. Easy parking if you are driving. Great view of the mountains. Good breakfast. Small pool, too.

We've stayed at the Goldenen Ente 3 times. It's a little pricey for a double, but they have an apartment that sleeps 5 which is a very good deal! We stayed there in 2008 with our 3 children and had a great time. It's right in the heart of the old town, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. www.ente.at just looked at the prices online and it says the apartment is 250.00 euro/night. A little higher than in 2008:)

maybe a triple and a double? We stayed at Weiss Taube last week and it was very nice - we had a double with an extra bed (room 42) which was actually a bedroom anda sitting room (with the extra bed). No view but nice room (except tell them to fix the shower curtain rod - it kept falling down!
