We are looking at booking our tickets on the Eurostar train from London and it would arrive around 10:17pm. How safe is the Metro from Gare du Nord to Porte Maillot at that time?

I never felt unsafe at any time on the metro. Use caution as you would anywhere. You are probably better off that time of night than you would be on a crowded daytime train.

Be aware of pickpockets/pursesnatcher/backpacks etc. at any time in Metro but espec late nights.

I've ridden the metro hundreds of times late at night and never, ever felt the least bit unsafe.

Thank you all...I suspected it was relatively safe (and we will be a group of five, but with kids too). I booked our Eurostar tickets, so we are all set!
