I am considering a Ryanair flight to Munich this summer but it arrives at Memmingen and I think that is about an hour west of Munich. I assume there is bus/train service into Munich. What is the best (easiest or cheapest) way to get to Munich on public transportation? Thanks for your help.

The Memmingen Express, at €18, is the easiest, cheapest way for one person, but be careful, I see some days where the last bus to Munich leaves before all of the flights are in. If you have a flight in mind, check the bus schedules to make sure you won't be left at the airport. Also, most days there are only 5 buses, so there are huge gaps in the schedule. If your flight is the last one before the bus leaves, you could be OK. If it's the first flight after the previous bus, you could have a long wait. The bus takes 1h35m plus waiting time
Time wise, probably the fastest connection (~2 hrs), and the cheapest for more than one person, is the €2,50 city bus from the airport to town, plus a Bayern-Ticket for the train (€20 one person, €28 for up to five). This requires one change at the Memmingen DB station.
