We are looking for a Hotel or B & B in Rothenburg. You recommendations would be greatly appreciated it. Thank you

We enjoyed the Haus Karin, which is about 5 minutes from the city. If you are arriving by train, she will shuttle you to and from the train station. Karin is a very nice person and puts on a good breakfast spread.

Gil, I stayed at This Hotel on my last visit to Rothenburg, and would certainly recommend it. It's a classic RS-style Hotel - not luxurious but very comfortable, and the owners were wonderful. I found the prices to be very reasonable.
Happy travels in Rothenburg!
My family and I really enjoyed the Romantic hotel in Rothenburg. I think it is called the Romantic Markstrum. It belongs to the Romantic hotel chain.
We stayed 2 nights, and ended up at 2 different hotels night.
First night we stayed in Hotel Gerberhaus, the second night we moved across the street (literally) to the Gasthof zur Goldenen Rose. Both were nice, but we liked the Gerberhaus better (although it was fully booked -- with a Rick Steves tour). Both are in Rick's book.
We stayed at Hotel Klosterstüble...very charming place! Breakfast and dinners were nice, proprietors very helpful! Walking distance to the main square and museums.
We did just what David did three years ago. We had resservations at Gerberhaus and wanted to stay one more night. They didn't have an available room and recommended Goldenen Rose across the street. It was less expensive and had wonderful food.
We stayed at Pension Poeschel. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. I would stay there again. We were two adults and three kids. They gave us a double and a triple which worked perfectly.
Our favorite place to stay in Rothenburg is Hotel Hornburg just outside the walled city.
We stayed at this place and were extremely happy with our large rooms- Gasthof Goldener Greifen.
We also liked Hotel Kloster Stueble. Our room was large and attractive with super nice bathroom. Parking is available and breakfast very good. Would definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed our recent stay at Hotel/Cafe Uhl in Rothenburg. Nice size room with full bath and being over a bakery was a good excuse to buy some sweets.
We stayed at the Gerber Haus over Christmas and enjoyed it. This spring my husband and I wanted to get away for the weekend and tried to contact Karin (in Gary's post) she was full but referred us to another B&B which was very reasonable for the night. So though I didn't stay with Karin, I would recommend her or The familie Froelich www.froehlich-rothenburg.de
We also stayed at the Cafe Uhl Gastehaus and were very satisfied with it. It also happens to be part of one of the most photographed/pictured streets in Rothenburg!
I second the vote for Haus Karin. Great location just outside the wall, Karin is a wonderful hostess, and the breakfast is awesome. She provided transportation to and from the train station, and she had great restaurant suggestions. Highly recommend.
We also stayed at Hotel Cafe Uhl -- great location, just close enough to the center of things.
