Romantic Rd - car or tour bus?

I would appreciate any information about touring the Romantic Rd. Would it be more economical to do it by car (6 people) or tour bus? Also, does the cost of the tour bus include entrance fees to castles, etc. on the route?

I would get a van for 6 people and do it that way as it gives you far more freedom. The drive is very nice and there are lots of towns to stop and explore.

Don't know about tour buses as we don't ever take them.
