staring our trip in Frankfurt, staying overnight in Rothenburg. For our second night, which is more charming, Hohenschwangau or Fussen?

There are some places right in Hohenschwangau, listed in their website. These places are definitely charming and definitely expensive. A little less expensive are places in Füssen. I think the best value for you money are places in Schwangau and Horn.You might have to walk a little, but you'll get a better price.

There are so many nice places to stay. As far as atmosphere, whatever that is, you'll pay more to stay in Hohenschwangau. I'm not sure it's worth it. In Hohenschwangau, you'll have a view of the castles, but people have complained that there is not much else to do. Füssen is in the center of more activity. As far as I'm concerned, I'd save my money and stay in Pfronten.
