anyone have a recommendation for a 1st wedding anniversary dinner place in Paris?
We had dinner at Au Bon Accueil in Paris and found it to be good and romantic. It is near the Eiffel Tower and it's a lovely sight as you walk out the restaurant and see the illuminated tower framed against the street buildings. A Google search will give you the address and phone number. Call to make a reservation. Staff were very kind and immediately began speaking English to us when they heard us struggle through French. It was very French and we enjoyed it.
I agree, Au Bon is a good restaurant and a good value. They have 2 small tables outside on the sidewalk from which you can see the Tower. One place I like better in the same neighborhood is Le Violin D'Ingres. They have 49E dinner menus. Make a reservation--start with "parlez vous anglais" and someone will be able to take your rez in English. And you can walk to the Eiffel Tower after.
