Two good friends of mine just got married in France. For a wedding gift, I would like to treat them to one or two nights at a nice B&B. They currently live in Grenoble, but also pass through Paris frequently, so I am looking for B&B's in those areas. Could anyone recommend some romantic B&B's near either Grenoble or Paris? Thanks!

We just got back from France. In the town of Rigny-Usse we stayed in one of the nicest B and B's we've ever stayed at, and our room was actually called "Romantique." This is in the western Loire Valley, near the town of Chinon, so it is not THAT close to Paris. We took the fast train from Paris to Tours, and it got us to Tours in a little over one hour. Then it would be another hour by rented car. You can see the place at www.lajuranvillerie.com and contact the exceedingly hospitable owners at dm.cutini.wanadoo.fr It is lovely and secluded, with nearby walks on the Loire and twenty minutes to excellent meals in either Chinon or Azay le Rideau (with a gorgeous chateau). Very reasonable, too, but absolutely first-class. If you enjoy treating people to nights in B & B's, keep us in mind.
