I have heard that the Hotel Biron (Rodin Museum) was undergoing renovations. The website gives a little info but I wanted to get first hand info from those of you who have visited the museum in the last several weeks. Are the renovations problematic for visiting the museum? Should I just visit the gardens? Merci, Linda
Sorry, I tried to edit but it gave me an error MSG. I will be in Paris at the end of September this year.
I was there last month. Almost the whole collection was still on display, but as they work on the building in stages, much of the indoor sculpture is displayed very tightly on the ground floor. It's more like walking through an attic jumble than a museum display, in that portion of the house. It won't take you more than a minute to pop your head in the door and see if you want to see the indoor sculpture in that setting. I did. It's going to be a great improvement though, and the garden is unaffected.
Thanks Jenny, this is just the confirmation I needed to do just that.
Make sure to get some ice cream in the lovely area in the back part of the gardens! It makes for a lovely afternoon.
Alexander, what A nice tip. Hard to say what is my favorite flavor but Pistacio is way up there. Ciao, Linda
