Hey all.
I´m planning a road trip starting in Santiago de Compostela. All I know so far is it will be the last week in March. Any suggestions about what to see, driving tips, etc? It´s more for the experience than seeing major sites, but I would like to make it to Toulousse at the very least. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

We did a similar trip last March. As far as the driving is concerned, be prepared for expensive toll roads and some road construction on parts of the Northern Spain route. We enjoyed the trip however. Here's what we did: We spent 3 nights in Santiago de Compstela, 1 night in Santillana del Mar (off season it's very "sleepy" so if I took that route again I'd stay in Comillas and visit the Altamira Caves replica.) We stopped over in Bilbao to visit the Guggenheim Museum, then on to San Sebastian for three nights. We took a day trip to the Basque region of France--Biarritz and St. Jean de Luz. We had a great stay at the Hotel Residencia Costa Vella in Santiago--one of my very favorite European hotels! Hotel Residencia Costa Vella Have a great trip!
