Rijksmuseum and Anne Frank House

Does anyone know if the Rijksmuseum renovations are complete? The last time that I was there was August 2006. I will be in Amsterdam for 2 days next month and I am wondering if a visit is worth it. Does anyone know if you can take pictures flash or not in the Anne Frank House?

Christine:

The Anne Frank House does not allow photography or filming in the museum. Information about the conditions of visiting the museum can be found at this link:

The main building of the Rijksmuseum will not reopen until 2012/2013. Check out question number 9 on the FAQ page for the museum at this link:

Enjoy your trip.

Depends on how nuts you are about Rembrandt.

We were there in April of 2007 and saw a LOT of his paintings. Also went to the VanGogh Museum.
As for Anne Frank, they have such a nice assortment of photo postcards in the bookstore there that you really don't need to take your own. Also they have some fantastic books that have photos in them.
