A couple of years ago, we used the R.S. Italy guidebook as a rough outline for traipsing around Italy. While I am awaiting for the 2012 Spain book to become available in E-format, I was curious on your candid thoughts on the 2011 or the new 2012 Spain book. Thank you for your thoughts.
As long as you have no interest in northern Spain, it's fine. RS doesn't mention anything about the area, except for Santiago de Compostela. If you want to stick to the more touristed areas in the south, the RS book is OK.
I have the 2006 Spain book and it does give more information on the North than the newer books - Bilboa, San Sebastian, Santiago and more of the Basque region. Am using this as a guideline for our next trip.
