I am interested in getting from bacharach to worms and deidesheim. How difficult is that?? end destination likely baden baden

Bacharach - Worms: about 1 hour by regional train. The 9:30 departure gets you there at 10:39 with 2 changes of train. It's about the same travel time to D'heim from Worms on the same regional trains. You can check all this yourself at the DB itinerary page HERE. To pull up itineraries with the regional trains, specify "only local transport" under "means of transport." These trains are the ones you can use with the Rheinland-Pfalz Ticket (daypass.) The R-P ticket is good as far south as Karlsruhe, btw.

russ thanks for your help. I will spend two weeks in germany. Plan to use the trains extensively...probably a 10 day rail pass. Thanks again
