We will be taking a river cruise in mid-October departing Amsterdam and ending in Basal, Switzerland. What kind of weather should we expect and would love suggestions regarding clothes and packing

We've had cold and rainy Octobers and we've had Indian summer kind of weather up until mid-November.

We just returned from a Rhine River cruise, Amsterdam to Basel. I would suggest casual clothes for the day and evening dinners. The Captain's dinner is dressier. I just packed a couple scarves and a packable skirt. I fit everything into a RS convertible carry-on. Men need collared shirts. Send me a PM if you would like more info. Have fun!
